Obstetrical department is a structural subdivision of the healthcare institution «Kalinkovichi central district hospital» It appears to be the first level of perinatal help, servicing female population of Kalinkovichi and its rural area.

The department provides medical care to patients during pregnancy, childbirth and during postnatal period. Childbirths are carried out vaginally and with the help of Caesarian section both in emergency and planned manners. The department is working on the principle of collateral mother and child staying. The breastfeeding is promoted as well.
